We are also actively developing a Web-based online Salon Management software system, which will be simple and intuitive to use, and run on virtually any computer with a recent Web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer 7 and above, Firefox 3, Google Chrome, Apple Safari) - so no need to fork out on expensive hardware.
Our salon management system will offer enterprise level features such as online booking, and email and SMS reminders. Our salon software will also come with an integrated content management system, which will let you design and maintain your salon's web site, and will also let you publish information from your salon management system (e.g. treatment menus and price lists, biographies of your therapists, etc) direct to your web site - which will be automatically updated on your web site when you change it on the salon management system.
Our pricing strategy will be affordable for single therapists working from home or mobile, and people just starting out in the industry, yet still be competitively priced for larger salons with multiple employees. As ours is primarily an online application (although we later intend to offer an off-line, standalone system as a back-up, should your internet connection go down for whatever reason), the system will be priced on a rental basis. However, full technical support will come as standard, with no extra charge.
Your system will be configurable to your exact needs. If you are a mobile therapist, you'll be able to view your clients' addresses on a map and plan your journey. If you run multiple salons and want to link them together, no problem. You can even add custom fields, e.g. suppose you needed to store additional details about your clients, such as their favourite brands of products.
For your security, our salon management system sports a comprehensive role-based security system, so you will be able to allow or deny your staff access to the various features of the system as you need, e.g. you'll almost certainly want to deny your staff access to their salary details, and may wish to restrict the amount of detail on clients that your staff are able to see. All confidential information is transmitted securely over HTTPS (secure HTTP) and encrypted to prevent anyone from eavesdropping on your data.
